Lo Bros was one of the first Kombucha brands in Australia to be widely sold in supermarkets, and they quickly expanded to New Zealand and the UK. As the category rapidly grew in popularity, many competitors muscled into the space. This reduced the previous effectiveness of being first to market. Lo Bros needed to move from just being about Kombucha, to a brand that had a bigger purpose and reason to grow.

The brothers Lo created their kombucha because they believed in developing a cycle of positive change - converting sugar to Kombucha, switching soft drink addicts to healthier alternatives, and championing glass over plastics. The brand refresh captured this positive call to action with the, now iconic, Lo Bros thumbs up hand.
